I opened a show tonight, and it got me thinking about making a forum post to talk plays and such. I'm always on the lookout for new things to read.

(For anyone interested, the play I'm in is called Grand Horizons by Bess Wohl).

Any fellow theater peeps out there, and what are some of your favorite shows you've seen?

I have not seen as many plays as I would have liked to. I really need to get out and see more theater.

I am more into opera than theater, but I've always enjoyed seeing plays.

My current fave is The Play That Goes Wrong, but I don't know if it's a good read because it has a lot of physical comedy.

The Play That Goes Wrong is incredible. When they licensed it out to theaters, it quickly became the most produced play in the country.

Opera is a broad blindspot, except for the pieces that are Best Of material. I have listened to every Mozart opera, but my favorite opera is John Adams's 'Nixon in China'. He's my favorite composer and I am a Nixon nerd, so I am very biased, lol. Basically served it up to me on a platter.

I haven't seen Nixon in China. The bits I've heard I liked, I should dive into the whole thing.

I obsessed about Opera basically for the entire 90s. But it's been years since I've gone.

This isn’t a play but the Official Sailor Moon Musical just played in LA and I regret not going!!
