I started listening to the Handsome podcast with Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster, and Mae Martin.

Hillarious! 10/10

Oh boy do I!

Lately I’ve really been enjoying Sixteenth Minute which is about internet microcelebrities. I also got into A Touch More by Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe which is about women’s sports. And I started watching Sweet & Sour on YouTube which is Pokimane and Lilypichu. Their lives are so interesting and they have really great chemistry.

I still listen to SO MANY. I totally second Alice's recommendation of Sixteenth Minute. This week's is about LiamKyleSullivan (the person who created omgshoes.)

Here is a slew of podcasts I listen to:

Blank Check - comedy podcast about director's filmographies, with a good mix of actual discussion and bits. Lots of great guests.

Comedy Bang Bang! (and all it's content on CBBWorld) - long-running improv comedy podcast, characters and bit out the wazoo. Might be daunting to get into with such a long history, but it's one of the best there is.

Conan O'Brian Needs A Friend - long form interviews with Conan, I usually just watch the clips on YT, but if it is a celeb I really am interested in, I'll listen to the full podcast.

Dead Eyes - a podcast by Conner Ratliff, where he does a Serial-style investigation into Tom Hank's firing Conner from Band of Brothers for having, quote, "dead eyes." One of the best, most personal revelations about creative disappointment, working in the industry, and how to find personal meaning when things seem to be only going wrong. I did not expect to have my own personal revelations throughout the show, but Connor does an incredible job of mixing humor and pathos in a way that I have not experience in any other form. And it the series builds to an incredible conclusion.

Firsthand - comedy podcast about two people who have "witnessed every significant event in history", and who interview two comedians playing people who witnessed or where involved in the event. Extremely silly and very fun if you like history and things going off the rails.

How Did This Get Made? - a podcast about bad/wild/cult films with Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzoukas

Mallwalkin' - a podcast that is what it sounds like, two comedians do walks around various California malls and give ratings. Only a handful of episodes, but extremely fun listening.

Podcast: The Ride - a podcast mostly about theme parks and themed entertainment, which the occasional dive into the obscure, esoteric areas of pop culture. (This is how I learned McGruff the Crime Dog had a banger musical album).

The Neighborhood Listen - a improv podcast hosted by Paul F. Tompkins and Nicole Parker, where they play the hosts of a fictional town's local interest podcast. Guests improvise characters based off NextDoor type-app postings. I think this podcast gives me the most laughs per minutes, it frequently gets unhinged in the best ways.

The Rules of the Show - a show built around the premise of each guest adding a rule to the show each episode that all subsequent guests have to follow. Also features discussions on the nature of rules and each guest brings some sort of rule or rules that want to talk about.
(Full disclosure, I guested on this, but I would be listening even if I hadn't).

This Had Oscar Buzz - a podcast about films with some Oscar hype that failed to get any nominations when the time came around. Very fun, very gay, lol.

Too Scary; Didn't Watch - a podcast where one or two of the hosts (and sometimes a guest) recap a horror movie to the others that didn't watch it (because they don't like horror movies)

and finally, the titular podcast of this site, 3AM Girls - hosted by Alice, where she records an episode every time she is awake at 3AM.

Many, many podcasts. Some of those that come to mind right now:

Citations Needed: Political podcast that I used to listen to religiously back in my first year of university and which is still one of my top ones. Two media criticism guys break down some extremely specific media trope, then talk to a journalist or academic about it. I was just relistening to their episode about ancient aliens conspiracy theories a few hours ago.

If Books Could Kill: I think this is quite a well known one, and I find it very soothing, despite the frequently headache-inducing self-help books the hosts cover and the dense references to sociological data, which certainly says something about how good the hosts are. This is kind of in the same genre as Citations Needed I suppose, but to me it is a comedy podcast. I've listened to a lot of the episodes multiple times.

Bad Books For Bad People: Podcast focused on weird, pulpy, obscure, and frequently gothic books. I don't listen often anymore, but it is fun.

System Mastery: Jef and Jon review usually strange and bad table-top role-playing games, while making quite a few crude jokes. If nothing else, listen to the "Kevin and Kell RPG" episode and hear them slowly lose their minds. The same guys have several other podcasts, a movie focused one called Movie Mastery, and one where they take a wild ride through the old Star Wars "expanded universe" novels, Expounded Universe.

Quorators: No idea if I'm spelling that right, but this is actually one of my favorite podcasts right now. Three comedians read weird questions on Quora, with a guest. They find some interesting characters, and since this is Quora, they often find their exact locations as well.

Cosmopod: Podcast of Cosmonaut Magazine. Focused mainly on socialist history, and various governments, parties, and movements. There is no "dynamic" here, the focus is purely on conveying information, and the number of hosts varies, as does whether they have a guest. Many episodes have reading lists, I used one recently to find sources for a paper on the Polish People's Republic.

Loremen: British guys talk about local legends and lore, from strange hauntings and serpents to eccentric personalities of early-modern Britain. Quite charming. I listen to it while shaving my legs.
