The Wire / Re: Television open discussion
Finally watched The Wire in its entirety about a month ago. I know everyone always says “it’s so good,” but wow — it’s so good!
The writers are so empathetic to their characters. No filler episodes. Best show I’ve seen???
I’m absolutely Wire-pilled.

FMA 2003 Re: Television open discussion
anyone watch the 2003 version of Fullmetal Alchemist? I think its a pretty underrated show that got a little overshadowed by Brotherhood (which i currently just started for the first time)
ik fma 2003 was being made when the manga was incomplete, and had to make up its own story halfway through, but I think they did a pretty good job, the ending is very bittersweet.
i have heard really good things about Brotherhood tho, so excited to watch through it ^_^

also this meme is from fma 2003, i immediately recognized the frame when it happened

I watched it when it first aired
I haven’t gone back to watch Brotherhood but I really enjoyed the original series even if the end was wonky.

Re: Television open discussion
Hulu keeps recommending this show Being Erica to me so I started it.
The premise is a 30-something woman is sent back in time to fix her mistakes. In the first episode she goes back to high school and immediately tries to give her boyfriend a blowjob.

I’m still watching Being Erica and this show is so odd. They openly say shit and the r-slur. The plot pacing is weird. When she went back to her batmitzvah they hired a teen actor instead of having the 30 something actress play her teen self.

The Traitors
The Traitors is the BIG show for me right now. I finished UK series 3 this last week (they aired 3 shows a week for 4 weeks), and am watching the current US season as it airs.
