I disagree unless they got the original Neversoft designers back. They haven’t known how to make a good one of these games for 20 years now

I can understand that hesitation. But I felt they handled 1 + 2 well enough that I trust them with it.
Maybe I would get burnt, but it wouldn't be the first time.

Vicarious Visions did 1+2 but they got repurposed as a Diablo support studio , literally renamed Blizzard Albany. I'd trust VV to do a new one but we don't know who is behind this new game yet.
